Why Hello!

Hey there everyone! I thought now would be a good time to tell you a little bit about myself: who I am, where I'm from and such. I'm not the best writer in the world, but here we go. So hello, I'm Sunny! I'm 17, and have lived in Hawaii for most of my life with my family. Although we moved from New Jersey originally, Hawaii is home for me. I've been shooting photos as a business for just about a year now. I love how photography can bring people together. I've been able to make so many cool relationships as a photographer and also look at the world and creation with so much more appreciation. Never would I have thought that I would find so much joy in the way golden light comes through the trees, how the breeze blows through a girl's flowing hair, or the way patterns reflect onto a shiny glass window. I have come to enjoy "the little things" more than ever. The way I obsess over God's beautiful creation can kind of make me look like a crazy hippie sometimes, but I love it. So don't be surprised if you catch me dancing around or making weird noises of excitement at golden hour one evening (because trust me, this happens more than you would expect).

I truly want to be able to create for my Creator (as cheesy as it may sound). I honestly seek out ways that I can serve Jesus through the gift He has given me, and every day I see more of what that looks like. It's definitely a process, but I'm in love with the journey that the Lord has put me on (hard times and struggles included). Through the short time that I've been pursuing photography, God has blown my mind with what He can do and has taken me on adventures I definitely didn't see coming. I've learned that He gives us so much freedom to EXPLORE! I'm so excited to be able to use this blog to share those stories with you! Although I'm kind of nervous to start this whole thing up, I know the Lord can use this space. I feel blessed to have a place other than my own journal to share my adventures. Hope you enjoy!
